Technology Units at Roe Valley Enterprises fully occupied. - 30/04/2008
Roe Valley Enterprises Ltd are pleased to announce that in just over 12 months since opening the doors of their new technology units they are now 100% occupied with a waiting list of prospective tenants looking into the building. Reporting on this success Martin Devlin, Chief Executive of Roe Valley Enterprises Ltd said the demand for the new units was phenomenal and underlined the company’s confidence in providing a facility, which was currently unavailable in the local area and unlikely to be provided by the private sector. The three-storey 5450 sq feet development, which has disabled access, comprises lettable space in the form of 15 contemporary technology units ranging in size from 140 sq feet to 240 sq feet. At a cost of just under £500,000 Mr Devlin paid tribute to the funders whose financial input made the development happen. Funding the development where the International Fund for Ireland under the Business Enterprise Programme (£177,645), Limavady Area Partnership (£50,000), Limavady Borough Council (£80,000), and Roe Valley Enterprises (£154,314). Brian McMurray, Chairman of Roe Valley Enterprises said, “The new units were further evidence of Roe Valley Enterprises’ commitment to facilitate small business formation and growth. Roe Valley Enterprises are managed by a voluntary Board of thirteen directors from both sides of the community with a wealth of ability and experience in the field of small business, education/training and the community/voluntary sectors which ensures that the company operates to the highest standard in both the management of their workspace portfolio and in the provision of enterprise support services. Roe Valley Enterprises currently provides 45,000 sq feet of workspace for 29 small businesses providing 111 jobs”. Mayor of Limavady Borough Council Edwin Stevenson welcomed the investment from so many agencies into the Borough. "Council was pleased to be a partner in this project which represents tangible investment in local business. Given the uptake of the Start a Business Programme in Limavady, we are not surprised these units have filled so quickly. The Board and staff of Roe Valley Enterprises are to be congratulated on all their hard work" Limavady Area Partnership Chairman Cllr Michael Coyle said “The extension of the workspace capacity at Aghanloo has acted as a catalyst for growth in the local economy and nurtured an environment for job creation at a much needed time for the Borough.” “On behalf of Limavady Area Partnership I would like to thank the International Fund for Ireland, Limavady Area Partnership Peace, and Limavady Borough Council for placing their trust in this project by financially supporting the development of this facility at Aghanloo.” |
